The Type C is for Type 1 dry blade cutting only. It is not the same as the Type G for grinding or the Type CD for core drilling.
The Alpha Ecoguard Type C fits selected 4.5 inch and 5 inch grinder models from common shop brands, including Bosch, Dewalt, Makita, Milwaukee, Metabo, Flex, and Hitachi. Alpha makes the collar system easier to sort by engraving the grinder manufacturer name on each collar, so setup does not turn into guesswork.
For blades, the Type C accepts up to a 5 inch blade and is made for Type 1 dry cutting blade use. Compatible Alpha dry blades include Katana, Libero, Laminam, Plus, Eclipse, Sonic, and Ultracuts. Four spacers are included for blade-to-cut-line alignment to help match the blade to the cut line.
